Local Family with AVM Donation
This one hits close to home, quite literally. We heard the news of a family from the area fighting the exact thing that took Bianca from us, and we had to take this opportunity to help as we could, in Bianca’s name.
On June 20, Ashley Curtis Kuester began to develop severe headaches. Shortly after, she ended up hospitalized and life flighted to Boston for what they discovered was an Arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
The Bianca Beck Memorial Foundation met with the family of Ashley Kuester, who is currently hospitalized for AVM. This undoubtedly has taken its toll on the family in many ways, including financially. Funds raised will contribute to medical bills, lost wages, child expenses, and all other expenses incurred during this difficult time.
The foundation was able to support Ashley and her family by granting a check for $5,000. We are able to donate money like this because of the support everyone gives us in Bianca’s memory. We know this is something Bianca would have absolutely wanted to do.
Below is the link for Ashley’s GoFundMe to read more about her story and get updates on her progress. If able, donate or share. And most importantly, keep Ashley and her family in your prayers, as we all know how hard this can get. Click Here to their GoFundMe page
Community Dog Park Bench Donation
Click on the picture to see more photos. 5 years seems like just the other day and forever all at the same time. We miss our girl so much, but are so grateful for all the wonderful donations we can make and kindness we’re able to spread in honor of her life! This year to honor Bianca being gone 5 years, the foundation donated a park bench to the Dickson City Riverfront Dog Park. We had so many friends and family there on that day to share in this memorable day with us. After the bench ceremony we did a purple balloon release and sent up lots of messages to our angel.
Again, We can’t thank all of our supporters enough. Without the support and donations we receive we wouldn’t be able to do such great things! We even had a couple furry friends in the park during our ceremony. Brooklyn is just like her mama… a dog lover!
Marywood Audiology Donation

In 2023, the foundation made a donation to Marywood University CSD Department/NSSLHA Chapter’s Speech Language and Audiology Clinic. The $5,000 donation was used to provide free hearing screenings to 500 pre-school, pre-k, and Treasure House students.
Clinic Director, Renee Jourdanais , Program Director, Andrea Novak, and Audiologist, Sheri Sharples Skrutski met with members of the board and shared information about the clinic.
While working at Hear USA, Bianca was a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Helping so many young children receive hearing screenings would have been something she would have been proud to be a part of!
Hearing Aid Donation
During the holidays in 2021, The Bianca Beck Memorial Foundation partnered with HearUSA, to supply hearing aid batteries to those in need.
As a licensed hearing instrument specialist, Bianca cared so much about her patients and making sure they had what they needed. The cost of a hearing aid alone can be expensive and patients must keep up with costly battery changes. The Foundation was pleased to help offset this cost and provide the gift of hearing that holiday season.
With donating $500, it was estimated the money would be able to help over 1000 patients obtain free batteries for their hearing aids.
Giving the gift of hearing, in honor of Bianca giving the gift of life…
